Man rear-ends BPD vehicle in Hyde Park, keeps on going, abandons car in Roslindale, is arrested

Around 6:50 p.m., the driver of a white Acura rear-ended a prisoner-transport van on Hyde Park Avenue near Metropolitan Avenue, then kept on driving, at relatively low speeds. He got through a red light by driving on the sidewalk, then turned into the streets off Canterbury Street in Roslindale - with the two officers in the van in pursuit.

The man abandoned the car near the intersection of Whitford Street and Delano Park. Officers caught up with him and arrested him outside 105 Whitford St. EMTs were summoned to treat the two officers in the van.
