Three shot in Dorchester; one dies

UPDATE: Victim identified as Thomas Johnson, 28.

A man and a woman were shot on Thane Street around 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, according to Stanley Staco and Boston EMS Incidents.

The man, in his late 20s, was taken to a local hospital, where he died, Boston Police report.

Shortly after 10 p.m., another person was shot nearby on Harvard Street. Jim Smith, a WBZ reporter at the scene of the double shooting, reported hearing five shots.
