Dorchester man charged as fentanyl dealer

Boston Police report arresting an Algonquin Street resident on fentanyl-trafficking charges after an investigation into drug trafficking at an Algonquin Street address.

Police say drug-unit officers with a search warrant entered 16 Algonquin St. around 10:15 a.m. on Friday and found 112 grams of fentanyl, 30 grams of cocaine, two loaded handguns and ammunition.

Zachary Godwin, 27, was charged with two counts of trafficking a Class B drug, two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, police say. He is scheduled for arraignment on Monday in Dorchester Municipal Court.

Innocent, etc.

From what I've read, it should be treated as extremely dangerous, much more so than pot or even heroin.

The fact that fentanyl and pot are even regarded as the same class of problem is pretty indicative of the disconnect in our drug policies.

FENTANYL is TRICKY, and dealers trying to get rich, lie and say its "herion" You use and don't die, and than you do less and you DO die. If It Is a blue pill, tiny, and says A215 on-Dont Take It. Lost a person this way. Fentanyl is also sold as "15 or 30 mg Oxycone" , a tiny blue tablet saying A215, don't eve take pills or powers, they'll lie and says its Herion when its Really Fentanyl. Crude Street Fentanyl, or the elephant tranquilizer "Carfentanyl"but b its real street
It valuable, so people sell it.
