Gunfire hits man, BPD headquarters in Roxbury

A man ran into Boston Police headquarters on Tremont Street in Roxbury around 11:30 p.m. with gunshot wounds to the groin and arm. Officers on duty at the station heard the gunfire and then discovered the headquarters building itself had also been hit - both in the front and on the Ruggles Street side.

WBZ reports the man was engaged in a gun battle with another man in the area of Tremont and Whittier.

At least two bullets came flying into the building from the Ruggles Street side.

A car was found shot up on Whittier Street.

The victim's injuries are not considered life threatening.

I would consider myself knowledgeable, season, aware, and confident Bostonian.

I've been around rights at funeral, I know of an incident where a shooting or homicide has taken place by a nearby police station and other braising situations.
However now that headquarters has been struck by gunfire it's really making me think if the police are in control and I am definitely very concerned.

This happens every other year either on Columbus Ave or from beefs on the courts behind HQ. Repeat offenders don’t care. Used to be regular bloodbaths in front of the old D4 and B3 stations until the neighborhoods changed. Cops aren’t the problem. DAs and judges unwilling to take gang members to the mat are.

I am sick and tired of people getting shot every day and its ridiculous and the police should do something about the violence. We need peace in this world not violence.

I don't understand why do everybody fine the police as the easy target for all the social problems that are going on in our.
How about taking a look at yourself and asking the question what am I doing to help improve Humanity as a whole especially when its surrounding any form of violence? If the answer to your question is nothing then shut then STFU!!!!!!

And if you are contributing to the betterment of humanity I applaud you just do more stop pushing the blame on everybody else.

It's the people in our neighborhood we need to take more responsibility more control of the destiny of our culture. Stop blaming the police for everything.
