Two slashed with broken bottle on Shawmut Avenue in Roxbury

Boston Police report arresting a woman they say used a broken bottle to slash two people at Shawmut Avenue and Ball Street around 9:35 p.m.

Police say officers caught up with suspect Celia Simmons, 59, of Dorchester, several blocks away, on Dudley Street, where she was arrested on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Both victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
