Alleged Mattapan drug dealer arrested after foot chase
Boston Police report arresting a Mattapan man on various drug charges Monday morning following a chase in which he led officers through several backyards before catching up with him on Rockingham Road.
Police say officers with a search warrant were looking for Roberto Polanco, 37, on Ruxton Road shortly before 10 a.m. when they spotted him - and he spotted them and began running:
Officers pursued and were soon able to place the suspect in custody in the area of 14 Rockingham Road. Officers then executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence which led to the recovery of 267 grams of heroin, 133 grams of fentynal, $5,671 in U.S. Currency along with other evidence consistent with the packaging and selling of illegal drugs
He was charged with two counts of trafficking Class A drugs, police say.
