Why can’t I double park for 5 minutes in my commercial van without a citation but these clowns can drive the wrong way down Boylston doing wheelies ?

The biggest PR win BPD & MSP could have right now is some press around confiscating these bikes and arresting these punks. Residents would be fine if it required cornering them, like on I-93 a few years ago.

You and “these clowns” are both punks who think they are above the law. Typical entitled driver too lazy to find a parking space.

You must be one of those test tube babies. Let me know if you want a taste of the real world ! I clock about 350 miles in a box van and 12 on a bicycle, every week. Don’t hate the player ! Parking in some Boston neighborhoods is about as rare as can be.

Okay geezer.

Yeah, I'm Dorchester and it's freaking annoying. Each and every night I can't take it. Crazy

I've seen this group. They ride around pretty much every night all across the city. You can hear them from blocks away.

There’s a pretty awesome Documentary filmed in Baltimore about dirt bike and four wheeler squads. It’s called twelve o’clock boys

But there a quite a few different groups...

“Mommy doesn’t like me so I’m gonna cause obnoxious noise all over the city so people pay attention to me” is what these four wheeler driving losers are saying with these temper tantrums.

Wow! These are kids!! When I have seen them I can say they don’t like to obey traffic signals at all.

That looked terribly frightening and painful for the poor man. I wonder why he was running towards the street initially? Perhaps he yelled at them re: their noise and aggression? Simply a sad situation. I have been cautioned by friends not to comment or report anything upsetting, unusual or unlawful in order to avoid being labeled (“Karen” for women, “Terry” for men). The world is truly going to hell in a handbag.

I noted that I didn't hear them last night. Hear them most nights between 9 and 10:30.

None of the drivers and residents working from home saw anything?

The trailer to a Mad Max movie.

Without sound it’s all speculation.

I have no problem with these kids. If a few motorists are scared enough to look up from their phones and start paying to pay attention to where they are going, that’s a good thing.

Ya, just a few rascals.

Just curious - what audio would justify them running his face over with their bikes?

up

Even if he had verbally threatened them, they were past him and circled back to engage.

I am pretty sure it is never appropriate to assault someone with a motorcycle or 4-wheeler regardless of what was said to them.

Clearly they don't drive-by your house. Try having a child sleeping when these knuckleheads rip by just revving their engines. Hopefully now the cops will actually do something about it.

Well, some of it anyway. He obviously wasn't "knocked to the ground". He face-planted himself while chasing them, then took 4 or 5 passing kicks before all parties involved seemed satisfied to go their separate ways.

Definitely not worth the pearl-clutching the video will probably generate.

Pretty sure "kicking someone when they are down" doesnt make it better.

I'm not sure what the good reason for kicking someone in the head but it seems pretty clear that they were creating plenty of opportunities for conflict.

If roving band of bikers kicking people in the head isn't a reason for pearl-clutching, I don't know what is.

Wow, terrible take.

Your go-to here is really both-sides-ism? In a one against many dust up when the many are riding dirt bikes and ATVs over the single fellow’s arms and legs?

So we’re ok with passing kicks to the head now ? Another win for 2020...

He looked falling-down drunk to me. As evidence, I submit the falling down.

The video is said to capture only some of the attack. Perhaps he was beaten severely enough to appear drunk before he ran out in the road and started impersonating a speed bump.

My guess is that if he wasn't drunk then he had just gotten smacked by one of these guys before the video started. (Which still doesn't make all the stuff we CAN see OK.)

I have no problem with these kids.

Whatever the pedestrian did to annoy these 'kids,' their repeated assaults on him are crimes. They could have just ridden away, and he'd have been left in their dust. Going back to hit and kick him is criminal behavior, and they should be arrested. If you "don't have a problem with" them, then you are part of the problem.

I'm sure the audio would shed light on why the person started recording in the first place. Likely some drunk person yelling obscenities at bikers.

I would like to know if he was attacked at any point before the footage started.

The problem is the violent assault.

This isn't an accident. They circled back around to engage and attack some more.

if you lie in the street you’re going to get run over.

I've grown used to seeing them here and there when they ride in my area (as well as hearing the drag race loop through/around the Fells).

I was surprised to learn firsthand that dirtbags on dirtbikes exist in central London when I visited last year. I was walking out of Piccadilly towards Hyde Park when a squad of them decided to buzz through at high speed, riding wrong way around all the traffic. Same mix of dirt bikes and four wheelers. Surreal.

They are all absolute asshats. I'm not sure what's worse, the riders or those who defend them as just being "youths" having some fun.
