Man charged with sexual attacks on three women downtown

Boston Police report arresting Fitsum Teklehaimanot, 28, of Chelsea, on three counts of indecent assault and battery for incidents Friday in Downtown Crossing.

The arrests come as police continue to look for a man they say forced a woman from Bromfield Street to the Public Garden and sexually attacked her on Sunday. Police did not say if Teklehaimanot was a suspect in that case.

Teklehaimanot was arrested around 2 p.m. at 170 Tremont St. by Sexual Assault Unit detectives. Police did not specify where or exactly when the attacks happened, but said there were two incidents, one involving two women.
