Two arrested after gunfire near Humboldt Avenue in Roxbury

Boston Police report gang-unit officers investigating gunfire on Humboldt Court in Roxbury around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday arrested two Dorchester men they found a couple of blocks away on Harold Street, sitting in a car with guns.

Police say one of the two resisted arrest and tried grabbing one officer's gun before he was placed under control, as a crowd gathered and began yelling obscenities at the officers.

Jose Rodrigues, 20, and Khamaree Price, 22, both of Dorchester, were charged with unlawful possession of a firearm (third and subsequent offense), unlawful possession of a firearm and carrying a loaded firearm. Seized: "A loaded .40 caliber Smith & Wesson M&P Shield handgun from underneath the driver’s seat along with a loaded 9mm Ruger American handgun equipped with a large capacity feeding device from underneath the passenger seat."

Price is already legally an "armed career criminal." He was arrested on gun charges in Dorchester in 2019.

Police say they are still investigating whether the two fired the initial shots or whether they just happened to sitting in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Innocent, etc.

Hope no one was hit in that reckless act. Surprised they didn't dump the burners with haste.

Shouldn't he still be in jail from his prior arrest?

For taking guns off the street.

And huge shame on the crowd that made that job more difficult. We should have camera footage of that.
