Dorchester teen arrested in Roslindale for Back Bay phone robbery

Boston Police report arresting a 15-year-old from Dorchester on charges he rode his scooter up to a woman walking along Marlborough Street between Fairfield and Gloucester streets, grabbed her wrist, took her phone, then sped off, shortly after 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police say officers on patrol on Washington Street in Roslindale spotted a scooter rider matching the teen's description heading towards West Roxbury Parkway.

They stopped him, recovered the woman's phone and arrested him on a charge of being delinquent for unarmed robbery, police say.
