Boston Police report a Quincy man arrested yesterday for a shooting in Nubian Square was then also charged as a pimp.
Police report Javann Hall, 36, was arrested in Quincy on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon for a shooting at Washington and Vernon streets around 2:35 a.m. on Aug. 11. The man survived. An alleged accomplice of Hall's, Eric Britt, 25, of Roxbury, was charged as an accessory after the fact.
Police say that they uncovered evidence linking Hall to the shooting while they, Quincy and State Police and the FBI were investigating Hall's alleged involvement in selling the services of at least one prostitute. After his arrest on the shooting charges, they executed a search warrant at his Quincy home and found enough evidence to also charge him with trafficking of a person for sexual servitude and deriving support from prostitution, police say.
