Teen with loaded gun was tooling around South Boston with two older pals in a car loaded with crack, police say

Boston Police report arresting a 15-year-old from Somerville and men from Roxbury and Charlestown after stopping their car in South Boston, initially because officers throught its window tinting was too dark.

Police say gang-unit officers initially tried to stop a car with darkly tinted windows at Columbia Road and Old Colony Avenue shortly before 6:30 p.m. but the driver wouldn't stop.

Police say that when the officers did manage to pull the car over, they found more than $2,500 in cash, "several plastic baggies containing twenty-eight rock like substances believed to be crack cocaine and a loaded firearm." The gun, a Glock 43 9X19, had ten bullets in it, police say.

The driver, Shami Grant-Sampson, 22, of Charlestown, was charged with failure to stop for police, operation with a suspended license and possession of Class B drugs. Lennox Pierre-Louis, 20, of Roxbury was charged with trafficking Class B drugs. The teen, too young to have his name released, was charged with being delinquent for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and possession of a Class B drugs with intent to distribute, police say.

Innocent, etc.

The Glock 43 9X19 comes with a 6 round magazine plus you can store one in the chamber for a total of 7 rounds. This teen was also in possession of a high capacity magazine which I believe rates an additional charge, I'm not sure how that would affect his sentencing provided he is found guilty after his time in court. Innocent until proven guilty and all that.
