Teen had a loaded gun in his waistband on Dot. Ave., police say

Boston Police report arresting a 17-year-old who had a gun loaded with seven bullets at 1750 Dorchester Ave. around 7:45 this morning.

Police say officers responded to a call about somebody "brandishing a firearm" at that location to find a teen matching the description given by a 911 caller.

As officers approached the male, they asked if he had a firearm. The male replied yes, and raised his shirt, which revealed a firearm in his waistband. The firearm and the male were both secured without further incident.

In addition to the seven bullets in the gun, police say, the teen had three more bullets in his possession.

He was charged with being delinquent for unlawful possession of a loaded firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, police say.
