Bus driver stabbed in possible Roslindale road rage

Update: Suspect arrested.

Boston Police are investigating how the driver of a shuttle bus got stabbed in an incident that appears to have started on Washington Street at Archdale Road in Roslindale and ended in a parking lot just south of Ukraine Way.

The driver of the shuttle bus, of the sort that Faulkner Hospital uses to transport workers between the hospital and the Forest Hills T stop, was found with injuries not considered life threatening, at 3841 Washington St. around 4:45 p.m.

Police were looking for a white F-150 whose driver headed towards Dedham.

This is why our dear city leaders have such a heavy police protection.

Road rage stabbing a bus driver? It doesn't matter which party was in the "right" when it comes to traffic incidents but it should never come to trying to take someone's life! It's just as sad as people dying over ridiculous "space savers" (which still need to be banned)in winter.

Not sure about *fatal* shootings but there have been shootings.

Explicitly said “deaths” not assaults. Big difference!

There's no rule of law if you're in a car, so why not go full YOLO? We have a municipal policy to have no traffic enforcement, dating back years; you can go ahead and drive full speed into a building, and seemingly not get charged -- a few months ago into the building in Roslindale Square, and then just days ago on Washington St; and it's hard to go a day without seeing someone blow through a red light, take a right turn from the left lane, or any other batshit insane move.

I never thought I'd be asking this, but when do we get a "law and order" candidate for public office? (FWIW, Steve Tompkins is a twat, so maybe this seat is a good first start for somebody and make that asshole unemployed)

...is that this take is a much much harder sell than it ought to be. Going from various reddit threads over the years, way too many people actually like the status quo and don't think the driving culture here needs to be checked. I guess I get not wanting more police interaction but too many drivers here have zero fear of the law.

I saw a pickup hit a pedestrian on Gibson Street, and get a warning. This kind of discretion should not be possible.

…. with a gun or knife. I think they'd be relieved of it on the spot. But a motor vehicle? Can’t take those away!!!

They should be able to take a driver's vehicle away from him/her if s/he does hit a pedestrian, especially if the driver in question seriously injures or kills the pedestrian outright.

Empty roads like every car ad ever. Add this to total lack of traffic rule enforcement and you get people driving into buildings, folks front lawns, constant red light running and more

It was one of the shuttle buses that are parked in one of the lots there, of the sort that Faulkner Hospital uses to ferry workers between the hospital and Forest Hills.

You beat me to it by a minute or so!

On the same road another piece of trash driver drove into someone’s house and brutally killed him. Drivers are the most dangerous group in Boston and it’s not even close. They make gang members look like upstanding citizens.

That explains the helicopters circling over the Arboretum yesterday afternoon and the sirens in the distance. I knew it couldn’t be good.

Single use vehicle driver road rage against a public transportation operator. This adds to the wrongness of the alleged road rager’s actions.

Yeah, Washington St going south was ALL backed up trying to get through the mess. Hope the shuttle bus driver is ok...

I stopped using my horn or responding when I get cut off etc driving. You never know who is in the next car and how they will respond anymore....

Has been backed up every PM rush hour this week.

The stabber is to blame, but that vehicles inch along on that stretch was probably a contributing factor. And to be clear, the traffic doesn't excuse anything.

If not road rage, then what?

Road rage, combined with lack of traffic control, has proved to be a dangerous combination, if one gets the drift.

This is what decades of ZERO traffic control from the po-po gets you.
