Boston Police report arresting a man who robbed the Brookline Bank branch at 33 State St. shortly after noon yesterday.
Police say Neal Bain, 62, walked into the bank and demanded money. He did not show a weapon. He made off with less than $200 and headed across downtown until he got to the Common - where officers, who had gotten a quickly announced description, spotted and arrested him.
Bain is scheduled for arraignment today in Boston Municipal Court on a charge of unarmed bank robbery. Police say he was already wanted on a warrant for shoplifting.
Innocent, etc.

I mean if I had to guess he was trying purchase drugs and consume them before being arrested?
This is a call out to all those “hero’s” ….
…. who blocked bus lanes and bike lanes in South Boston recently.
You and your shining fiberglass steeds are now desperately needed in all Downtown traffic lanes. Especially in the bike and bus lanes that expedite crime on to the Common. Please occupy Downtown Crossing as well.
Councilor Flynn will be on hand to pass out donuts and coffee and vapid comments.
Do not be moved! Not even for those irritating ambulances and cop cars or fire trucks.
Um...
Your dosage appears to be off a bit.
