Robbers splice Jean Therapy
Boston University Police report two guys came prepared for a heist at a Kenmore Square jeans store yesterday evening.
Police say the two entered Jeans Therapy, 524 Commonwealth Ave. around 6:50 p.m. yesterday with "a gray dry cleaning type bag with a draw string" and, after looking around for a bit:
One of the black males then told [a clerk] in a threatening voice, "we are taking these things, don't do anything." One of the suspects ... took 27 pair of jeans, valued approximately at $5300 from several different shelves and placed them into the bag and left the store.
That's roughly $200 per pair of jeans.
One perp is described as a dark-skinned black male, in his 30's, 6'4", muscular build, clean shaven, wearing a black hoody and thick framed sun glasses. The other was described as a dark skinned black male 5'10"-6'0", athletic build, wearing a black nylon jacket and dark jeans and possibly with a Fu-Manchu style mustache. Security footage showed the suspects get into a dark four-door sedan driven by a third man.
