Tacos El Charro, 349 Centre St., will re-open as soon as the city issues an inspection certificate, owner Aida Luz Navarro said this morning.

Navarro told the Boston Licensing Board she was forced to close the restaurant earlier this year due to financial problems - she didn't have enough to pay for a required permit in December, and in January, NStar shut off power due to a $7,000 unpaid bill.

The Boston Licensing Board yesterday voted to let Deep Ellum, 477 Cambridge St., take over the space next door to open a Texas-style taco place called Lone Star Taco Bar.

The board also gave Boston Kabob Co., 164 Brighton Ave., permission to stay open until 1 a.m., Thursday through Saturday. The kaboberia had asked for permission to keep the lights on until 2 a.m. those days.

They often mutter to one another in Spanish about customers who annoy them. And by the way, amigos: I know what "una puta flaca mala" means.

Sign in the window of John F. Kennedy TV repair place on South Street, Roslindale Square. It's right around the corner from Wapo Taco, where they must have finally gotten tired of people asking them if they sold subs (they also have a sign advising "No Pizza!"):
