Meanwhile, an Orange Line train refused to get out of bed at Oak Grove.

Police are investigating a collision around 8:20 p.m. on Columbia Road at Cushing Avenue that sent a motorcyclist to the ground with injuries that are not considered life threatening.

Connair reports about a third of the bike "broke off and scattered all over the street."

The Honda Odyssey that hit his motorcycle was found, unoccupied, on Cushing Avenue.

Police blocked Columbia for their investigation and swarmed the area looking for the driver, creating gridlock in the area.

Firefighters are at 21 E. Cottage St., for a two-alarm fire that broke out in the attic around 3:40 p.m. The bulk of the fire was reported knocked down shortly after 4 p.m.

Police are investigating two shots fired around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Geneva Avenue and Waldeck Street. No one was hit.

Ophiuchus reports:

I heard two bangs, sounded like 2 m80s went off over here.

On Thursday, police arrested 12 on Waldeck Street as part of a citywide drug sweep.

The Herald reports Boston Police yesterday rounded up 36 alleged drug dealers - 12 of them just on Waldeck Street in Fields Corner.

A man was found shot in the stomach in a car on Cawfield Street near Eastman around 11 p.m. The homicide unit was called almost immediately.

Police are looking for two Hispanic men, one in a gray T-shirt with long sleeves and jean shorts.

Stanley Staco reports that shortly after 9:15 p.m., the occupants of two cars exchanged gunfire outside 36 Monadnock St. Fortunately for all concerned, they had terrible aim and no people were hit.

Firefighters are investigating a manhole at Dorchester Avenue and Fuller Street as the possible source of a blackout around Ashmont station and down Gallivan Boulevard. The favor of NStar's presence has been requested.

The Dorchester Reporter posts excerpts of a police report on yesterday's shooting at Arcadia and Montello streets - which says the victim started screaming at a crowd he was no snitch and took off his bloody shirt and threw it at a cop.

However, a woman who says she saw the whole thing paints a different picture.

WHDH reports two parking-enforcement officers writing street-cleaning tickets found themselves under attack when somebody shot at their van - leaving one with an eye injury from broken glass.

City records show the incident happened around 12:45 a.m. on Washington Street between Columbia Road and Blue Hill Avenue.

A West Roxbury man pleaded guilty to a variety of gun charges yesterday for an incident that started while police were investigating reckless ATV and dirt-bike riders on Ridgewood Street in Dorchester, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

According to the DA's office, police officers, already alerted to resident complaints about reckless dirt bikers on May 28, 2013, spotted an ATV take a right off Draper onto Ridgewood and followed it.

MBTA maintenance vehicle falls off tracks

Firefighters are on Elm Street in Dorchester, trying to contain any fluids that might be leaking from a T maintenance vehicle that fell off the Red Line around 7 p.m.

A T spokesman reports:

A piece of equipment crews have been using all weekend for track work on the Dorchester branch of the Red Line slid down a hill today. Operator of the equipment had no visible injuries but was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The cause of the accident is under investigation. Buses have been replacing train service in that area all weekend to allow crews to perform the track work.

A roving UHub photographer happened upon a chaotic scene outside what had been a rockin' party on Bellflower Street in Dorchester tonight:

There were partygoers jumping from the roof onto a neighboring roof. One missed, took out the other house's porch railing, and landed three stories down into an alley. Taken away in bad shape.
