If you go to the Yelp page for A-Plus Moving and Storage on Border Street today, you first have to click through a popup that reads:

We caught someone red-handed trying to buy reviews for this business. We weren't fooled, but wanted you to know because buying reviews not only hurts consumers, but also honest businesses who play by the rules.

Attached to that is a copy of an e-mail string between somebody on Yelp's "secret ops" team and somebody willing to pay $30 for a really good review of the company (along with evidence of another paid-for review for a Malden restaurant).

Two of the four. Photo by Transit Police.

UPDATE, 12:10 p.m.: The MBTA reports three of the four have turned themselves in - they walked into Transit Police HQ just as Supt. Joseph O'Connor was briefing the media on the case. More to come.

Transit Police report a man and his 14-year-old daughter were beaten by four men on a Blue Line train around 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 18.

After repeatedly punching the man in the head and his daughter in the thigh, the four sauntered off the train at Airport, police say.

If these guys look familiar, contact detectives at 617-222-1050 or send an anonymous tip to 873873.
