Live Boston reports a driver hit a man in a wheelchair on Melnea Cass Boulevard near Massachusetts Avenue, dragged him down the road, then drove off, leaving the man to die, sometime before 11 p.m. Read more.

A man was stabbed in the elbow at the Alltown Mobil station, 85 Southampton St., around 1:30 p.m. The bleeding was bad enough that arriving officers applied a tourniquet before he was transported to the hospital.
