Dan Shaughnessy's nightmare

Shaughnessy is in full-bore shank mode today, ripping into Curt "Big Lug" Schilling. Why'd he wait so long? Now that he's getting older, must take him longer to collect all his bile in a jar. Or as Dan Shaughnessy Watch puts it:
... In the end, this was an amateurish hack job. In the ultimate irony....Shaughnessy, the media whore himself, is spread too thin with writing books and showing up on TV to be capable of writing a legitimate piece. I wonder if Shaughnessy wakes up in the middle of night and sees the beady eyes of a monster in the corner and thinks to himself "That must be the Big Lug" before he realizes that he is just looking in the mirror.

Shanking the CHB
Occasionally, Jay Severin has the CHB
on as a guest. You know, Severin is the
guy who broadcast locally (from Long Island)
for years, claims to have won a Pullitzer,
had Romney as a lead-pipe cinch in the
primaries. And oh yeah, he's a HUGE sox
fan, at the end of October.
When he does, he calls the CHB "the best
sportswriter in America." Uh-hmm.
Yep, by their friends shall ye know them.

Adam, both of your links lead to the Shank Watch blog, rather than the first one going to the Glob. I actually read the CHB's column today, which I typically avoid, and he really is in rare form with these amateurish accusations. This is the kind of speculative crap that random dudes on the "T", or my grandmother, could come up with.
I wish I could say I deliberately didn't link to that nonsense
