Fire Department report says West Roxbury firefighters not impaired; fire commissioner not so sure

The Herald posts a brief story on a 134-page report due out tomorrow on the death of firefighters Paul Cahill and Warren Payne at the Tai Ho restaurant in West Roxbury on Aug. 29.
The report is due to be posted on the Fire Department Web site tomorrow.

Correction:You've got your headline wrong
The herald article DOESN'T say "the FFs weren't impaired."
It says their DEATHS "were not the result of drug or alcohol “impairment".
the Autopsy results clearly state at least one of them was legally impaired. The FF union just says the alcohol wasn't the cause of death.
On a side note, can someone explain to me why the FF union opposes random drug testing?
They're PUBLIC servants. shouldn't public safety trump personal privacy?
