He likes us

Rich flies back to Chicago with fond memories of our Hub (except for the pedestrian crossings, which he found as dangerous as any in Brazil or Costa Rica):

... People in Boston are really energetic. This may be a strange thing to say, but Bostonians are attractive people and have a good sense of life. It would be a great place to live; there's a huge amount to do and see. The locals may talk with funny accents, but they definitely approach things straight on. We walked along the river last night (seems like a week ago) . . . and the constant flow of runners, walkers, skaters and others was invigorating. Was it my imagination? . . . but I felt that the people of Boston seem to have a special resolve about them, perhaps a joie-de-vivre that one doesn't see in many other cities. More voltage than Chicago for sure. I liked the people. ...
