TJX to hold one-day sale

TJ Maxx and Marshalls are holding a 15%-off sale on Thursday to show appreciation to consumers for "their loyalty" after thieves managed to make off with 100 million or so credit-card numbers from TJX a couple years back, not to show appreciation for the fact executives were not charged with anything. This measure of deep gratitude was announced less than a day before the sale is due to start.

And not of course because the parent company is cash strapped and having problems. Boy that really makes up for having to get new bank and credit cards, contact every single automatic debit holder that hits my accounts and spend a weekend in Maine bank card free and cashless. Thanks TJX, thanks!

After all, the considerate crooks who stole my credit card number from TJXs moronically weak security system only used it to run up 15% of my total wealth.

Okay, that's all made up. But really, wouldn't there be huge crowds in store with no discount necessary if the CEO, CIO, and all VPs were in stocks so loyal customers could throw rotten vegetables at them and poke them with sticks?

I used to work for TJX and employees get 10% all the time plus 20% off on certain weekends, 4 times a year. They could have at least made it equal to what employees get and/or made it over an entire weekend rather than a weekday. Just another way they show how cheap they really are.

A 15 percent off sale, hastily arranged, on a Thursday... Huh???

Its not like they did this right after the breach, they waited two years. Why did it have to be this thursday, after 2 years whats another 2 days?

Its very silly
