Too many deaths?

Ghetto Uprising reports he briefly taught Anthony Peoples, one of the three people murdered outside a Dorchester party early Sunday:

... What's bothering me more than the shooting itself is that I'm not as bothered as I should be. unfortunately and absurdly, at some point, dudes getting shot must have become relatively normal to me because now I feel little more than "damn, that's fucked up." I must not be too insensitive though because every time I hear about a shooting, I immediately worry that it's one of my students or a young person I know.

It is indeed very sad and a shame to see the lack of understanding on both fronts of the issues, not just in south Boston but in the nation as a whole, here's what I mean religion has clearly shown that it isn't the answer, politicians has clearly shown historically that they simply just don't care once they get in power. So as we can clearly see the magic word here is "Selfishness" and of course no moral convictions on anything whatsoever, mainly coming from society's leaders and society at large, so without me giving the impression that I'm justifying this type of behavior because I'm not, but we must look at this gangs problems objectively and realistically that how can we expect society's youth to behave? a lot of them coming from broken families. So we must be part of the solution instead of the problem and thereby mus see that the problem is a lack of spiritual and moral values in these young men/women roaming our streets and the need to pray and look for "GOD" in our lives.
