Police say that after he noticed the cops were after him, Jumaane Samuel, 24, of Dorchester ditched the scooter, tossed away a gun and tried unsuccessfully to run away. He was charged with unlawful carrying of a loaded firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful carrying of a large capacity firearm, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, unlawful possession of ammunition, trespassing, receiving stolen property, assault and battery on a police officer, receiving stolen property and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
