Mass. High Tech reports that not only is Shore.net - one of the state's original ISPs - back in Lynn, it's being run again by original owner Lowell Gray.
Our business had its first web site on shore.net starting in 1994. Very fond memories of those early days of e-commerce, back when the blink tag was in vogue (though not allowed on our site).
I remember Mr. Gray from his days as owner of the Oxford Street Grill in Lynn. He had a great chef there, doing really interesting food (kind of a New Austrian thing), that he ultimately drove away, to the restaurant's undoing. (That chef is at Ecco in Eastie now.) Lowell was also the most distinctly unpleasant, self-aggrandizing owner I ever had the displeasure of having linger too long at my table to share his "restaurant vision".

Oh hells yes!
Proud Shore.Net user back in 1995 when it was North Shore Access. I'm all weepy and nostalgic.

Wow
All I can say is wow. I worked there from 96 to 99. I wonder if Lowell would give me my old job back :)
