Alleged gang leader charged in 2006 murder, shooting

James "Gunna" Walker, 22, was charged today with a July 22, 2006 double shooting that left Antoine Perkins dead and another man wounded, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office announced.

Walker was already in federal custody on charges related to a 2007 crackdown on his Lucerne Street Doggz gang.

Walker shot Perkins in the head, the DA's office says.

Walker is scheduled for arraignment tomorrow in Dorchester District Court.
