Mistrial declared for two charged with Roxbury murder

Hey, sexy ladies
Antwan Carter

The jury deliberating murder charges against Antwan Carter and Daniel Pinckney for the 2007 death of a Roxbury teen who had nothing to do with them declared itself "hopelessly deadlocked" today.

Suffolk Superior Court Judge Linda Giles declared a mistrial. The Suffolk County District Attorney's office said it would seek a new trial.

Prosecutors have charged the duo went looking for revenge after an acquaintance of theirs from the Mass. Ave. Hornets gang was shot in Roxbury - but that they had no particular target in mind when they gunned down Cedric Steele, a college student and Meals on Wheels volunteer standing in front of Timilty Middle School waiting for his mom so that they could go buy a cell phone.

Steele was shot repeatedly in the face, neck and torso. He died during surgery at Boston Medical Center.

Innocent, etc.
