What the hell kind of town is this when even Sara Underwood can't get a cab?

She walks slowly!
Two miles in an hour? Was she crunk??
Dude
She was in heels. I'm thinking two miles in heels is going to take a bit of time to do - but people who have actually worn heels, feel free to correct me.
Here's a tip she might need
I have a tip for her. Do what I do, take 'em off. We walked from the theater district to Tremont St on Halloween and I did it barefoot.
Barefoot isn't so easy, either
In a similar situation one night a number of years back, a friend and I walked from Back Bay (near the Common) to my apartment just beyond Coolidge Corner in Brookline, a distance of just over 3 miles if Mapquest is to be believed. I started out with thin-soled flat sandals, but took them off after about 2 miles when the combination of straps and blisters proved too much to bear. After that, my feet hurt, and walking barefoot on asphalt -- careful to dodge dog-leavings and broken glass -- wasn't exactly a treat. The whole trip took about 90 minutes. In my cross-trainers, that walk would have taken about 30-40 minutes. Point is, the heels needn't be high for the shoes to be completely ill-suited to a fast-paced walk. Also, alcohol (*hic*) just might have been a factor in the slower pace. Hypothetically.
Anyway, Boston cabbies suck.

Maybe it was all those
Maybe it was all those "investigative reports" she did on cabbies.
Welcome to Boston. There is
Welcome to Boston. There is no night bus service, and the medallion system means there arent enough cabs.
Ive done 2 mile walks multiple times. Its a fact of life.
Youd think by now some entrepreneur would get a bus and run it from downtown to allston or brookline at that time. Its probably illegal though, just because.
This is the story of the
This is the story of the nightlife in Boston.
Good luck trying to catch a non-called in cab anytime after nine PM. Half have a fair, and the other half will drive right by you.
Another glimpse of life...

The cab drives probably saw Felger was with her and wouldn't pick them up.
Damn!
I wish that I'd said that!
