Tommorrow will be 10 days since the Wicked Good Forum was deemed to be a "cesspool where the morally bankrupt can bellow"...
...got a note from Ken today asking if I had heard anything.
I miss the forum, I miss the people, I don`t miss the strife that came with the Politics, Gay Marriage and War forums.

Maybe another week or so and I'll turn 'em back on - but with me getting (ugh) tougher with people urging the murder of other users.

I agree with Ron regarding his suggestion of deleting the Marriage, Poitics and War sections. It was so disgusting. Adam's intent was good, but the abuse was pathetic. And (as Ron once mentioned) Adam has every right to delete. Period. I think if conversation goes terribly bad, a simple disappearance of blocks of copy now and then would get the point across.
Reviving WGC

My suggestion is to delete those folders, as well as some of the threads in the remaining folders. Keep only those threads that are truly in the spirit of what WGC is supposed to be -- discussion of Boston.
After doing so, leave the forum closed for another week or so, with a notice that it will soon reopen.
And once it reopens, vigorously enforce a rule against personal attacks on another participant.

Cutting the War, Politics & Gay Marriage Forums good idea.
Having the above-mentioned forums seemed like a good idea--and was clearly implemented with the best of intentions, which, unfortunately just went amok and ended quite badly, which is really unfortunate. I believe that rules against flaming other people and going on the attack should be implemented. That's a good idea. Thanks.
