How to shop at the Stoughton Ikea
At Living Reflections from a Dream, Amy posts a rather complete guide to shopping at Ikea, from when to go to strategies for getting the most out of your day inside the place:
... At some point in my journey, I did begin to wonder why on earth people put themselves through this just for cheap goods. And I wonder if every Massachusetts house is going to begin looking exactly the same because, believe me, everyone in the state is in this store. But then I look over at the new lamp lighting my living room and it makes me happy.
Hmm, didn't people post these sort of things when Krispy Kreme first moved into the Boston area? Now, there's never a line at the one remaining Krispy Kreme (in Dedham), at least not when we drive by it.

Shopping at IKEA
I don't think this is going to be equivalent to the Krispy Kreme phenomenon. I lived near one of the first IKEAs built in America, at Potomac Mills near Northern Va., and it was always busy. For years and years. Probably still is (though I haven't lived in the area for more than a decade). I still have some of the furniture myself (bookshelves, mainly).
Perhaps the traffic situation will get better, though. Worth dreaming about...
