When trees fall

Solomon is definitely a top contender in the most extreme thing that happened during last night's storm competition.

Erika addresses Mother Nature:

.. I'm tired of being nice. You're a cold, heartless bitch. ...

Erika's Mother Nature must be the one who ran a red light just as Karl was crossing the street at the height of the storm. But he got his revenge:

... I took my umbrella and stuck it straight out so it scratched all the way down the side of her car as she sped by. I was so happy. ...

Not being an old prude here; in fact, I understand just how you feel, Karl, about the woman's running a red light when you were crossing the street, but it's kind of risky to stand in the middle of a snowy, slippery road with an umbrella, since some car could skid and maybe hit you while you were in the middle of the road. It's also risky because the world's so crazy today that who knows if the person whose car you scratched might take out a gun and shoot you, or try to run you over.
When I've been in that situation, and seen cars going through red lights while I was crossing the street, in any sort of weather, the only thing I do is yell something about what I think of the person--and limit it to that.
