Charley on the MTA takes his first ride on the above-ground part of the Silver Line, a.k.a. "bus rapid transit." His reaction:
It's a bus.
Not "rapid" at all.
Barely "transit" at all, actually. ...
Earlier: Lipstick on a pig
I'm curious why you were taking the Silver Line (which runs down Washington Street) to the Boston Center for the Arts (which is on Tremont Street).
If you really want to be dropped off right in front of the BCA, you should take the #43 bus. Otherwise, it's a pretty short walk from the Arlington or Back Bay T stops.
Good point. We went to a restaurant on Washington Street first.
I'm not sure if I read that earlier "Lipstick on a Pig" post or not -- but I'm a little embarassed that I came up with the same title. Sure is apt, though.
What else are you gonna call this paean to Modern High Speed Transit? :-).
Adam? What are you peeingon?
