Social Security National Call Congress Day, Tue Nov 30 - (800) 962-3524

Gutting Social Security will not reduce the budget deficit. Social Security is funded separately, from employee contributions. It is entirely self-sufficient—even at today’s retirement age and funding levels—until 2037.

Social Security helps to bridge the chasm

We need every person to call their senators and representative and demand that they keep Social Security intact. Nothing can happen to Social Security unless Congress lets it.

I've been working since I was 15, that's 35 years of paying about 7% of every paycheck into Social Security for a safety net in case I was permanently injured and unable to work and for retirement.

Social Security is not subsidized by general tax revenue and so it does not contribute to the deficit or the national debt.

I'm sick of conservatives trying to trash social programs. I guess they don't care because they don't need them or they too stupid to understand they're voting against they're own interests. Join me and call your congressmen and your senators.
