Police investigating whether man tried pushing woman into path of oncoming subway train

On Alewife side of the Red Line at Downtown Crossing around 8 a.m., Rob Grover and Kaitlin Milliot report. Milliot reports cops were quickly on scene to deal with the guy, who started yelling at them, as the woman stood there crying.

This is in no way, shape, or form the victim's fault. But I whenever I see people standing close to the edge of the platform, I see potential shoving victims. Yet every day, I see people dangling off the edge of the yellow warning strip.

It's a simple thing you could do to protect yourself from being intentionally or unintentionally shoved onto the track, or tripping or fainting onto the track. Accidents (and crimes) happen.
