Police: Robbery suspect had blood pouring from mouth from where he chomped on victim's hand

LandrumBoston Police report arresting a guy they say bit another man's hand hard enough to soak both of them in blood at a Martin Luther King Boulevard ATM this morning.

Police say Anthony L. Landrum, was lying on the floor at a Sovereign Bank ATM machine at 333 MLK Blvd. around 7:30 this morning, when a 71-year-old man stepped up to the machine to deposit some cash. According to police, Landrum sprung up, yelled "that's my money!" and chomped down on the man's hand.

Police say arriving officers found both men struggling on the ground, with "a large amount of blood" streaming out of Landrum's mouth and the victim covered in blood - but still holding his money.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment, police say. Landrum was treated at the scene and then charged with unarmed robbery, assault and battery and assault and battery on a person over 65.

A Roxbury District Court judge set bail at $5,000, but revoked Landrum's bail on two unrelated assault-and-battery cases out of Brighton, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

In 2001, Landrum narrowly escaped death when he was stabbed in the face, allegedly by a man he'd stalked and threatened to shoot for sleeping with his ex-girlfriend.

Innocent, etc.
