A U-Haul office that sucks

One now ex-neighbor of mine had some awful experiences when she put her stuff in storage with UHaul--she had a whole bunch of valuable stuff stolen. Lesson to be learned: Don't put anything that's considered of value in storage, especially with UHaul.

When I was visiting my sister out in Iowa City last spring, I read of one horrific incident where a Univ of Iowa student had rented a UHaul van that already had a dent on one fender. Even after the UHaul people had written that down on paper for the student, the student was made to pay a thousand dollars for the
damage to the van, despite pointing out that the company had written it down and showing them the paper to prove it. How disgusting can that be?
