not gelaterias. Not even Carlo's Cucina Italiana, my favorite Italian joint in Allston (there aren't many options above the pizzeria / sub-shop level) doesn't serve it. Haven't been to FoMu, the vegan ice cream joint on Vegetarian Row, but I hear good things. Maybe that little Italian storefont on the same block of Brighton Ave as S&I Thai?

I believe "that little Italian storefont on the same block of Brighton Ave as S&I Thai" is Wise Guys, referred to in the Twitter thread above. Per walkingbostonian's tweet, they do have gelato, but he refers the person to Athan's instead.

Also, its not listed but last time I checked Shaw's/Star Market also had a small selection.

Sea Salt Caramel is ridiculously good, haven't tried any other flavors but I've heard good things.
