One water sprayer won't turn off, one won't turn on; South Boston vs. Roslindale

One concerned citizen files a 311 report that one of the rain-garden sprayers at playground at Moakley Park in South Boston doesn't shut off; another concerned citizen reports the sprayer at the Fallon Field playground in Roslindale won't turn on.

Pro-Trump graffiti in Roslindale

A concerned citizen filed a 311 complaint today asking the city to remove the "ridiculous graffiti" at the Fallon Field playground in Roslindale today.

It must be tough being the only Trumpie on your block, so you feel like you have to act out somehow, because this is not the first time stuff like this has showed up at Fallon Field.

Per Keep Roslindale Quirky, somebody was spotted leaving bread soaked in antifreeze in the area along South Walter Street.

Around 5:45 p.m. at the Fallon Field basketball court off Walorth and Tyndale streets. The victim who was stabbed in the chest managed to make it to Checkmate Cafe at South and Robert, where somebody called 911. The other victim was stabbed in the arm. Both victims' injuries are considered not life threatening.

Police are looking for somebody who jumped out of a car, then jumped back in after the stabbings and drove off.

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department holds a public meeting on Feb. 7 to hear what people think about the idea of carving out part of Fallon Field for a dog area.

The session starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Roche Community Center, 1716 Centre St. in West Roxbury. Read more.

New playground at Fallon Field in Roslindale

Workers unwrapped the new playground at Fallon Field yesterday and word quickly got out - kids and parents swarmed the place well after sunset. Chris Kollett, one of the parents who pushed for the revamp, as part of an effort to get more play spaces in the neighborhood, took a bunch of photos today, including one from the very top of the slide - the longest in Boston: Read more.

Not one but two concerned citizens report "politically inflammatory" graffiti scrawled on the walls and surface of the Fallon Field street-hockey rink overnight, such as "Hillary for Prison" and "Clinton killed Americans."

Long slide in Fallon Field in Roslindale

The new playground at Fallon Field in Roslindale is fast taking shape, with the possibility it could be ready by month's end for kids to play in.

Proposed spray deck at Fallon Field

City parks officials and a design firm last week showed off renovation plans for the Fallon Field playground that would include Roslindale's first playground spray deck and a "secret garden" in a layout that spreads across two levels on the park's hillside.

Fireworks over Fallon Field

Last night, Roslindale (and Hyde Park) residents living near the golf course were treated to the sounds of explosions coming from somewhere inside Stony Brook Reservation. Tonight, as Gradon Tripp shows, people with little fear of getting caught were shooting off fireworks from Fallon Field. He adds:

We're between the train station and Walter/South St. All the neighbors came out to watch.

Another day, another power outage, this time in the area near Fallon Field.

Eric Gahan reports his power went out around 2 a.m. and was still out around 4:30 a.m.

Around 9:20 p.m. by the hockey rink at Fallon Field. Both had their backpacks taken by three other teens, one holding a gun and wearing a Freddie Kreuger mask.

A nose-holding citizen reports from Roslindale:

Porter potty needed for field- athletes have no facilities and are using the tunnel that connects Fallon field to Belgrade ave to relieve themselves. It smells like urine and is unnerving for walkers.
