A man was shot in the chest twice shortly before 11:20 p.m. at 38 Warren St., at Zeigler Street - a couple blocks away from where another man was shot repeatedly in a parking lot off Harrison Avenue early this morning. The homicide unit was called in due to the severity of the victim's injuries.

A Boston health inspector shut Crown Fried Chicken, 344 Warren St., this week for "gross unsanitary conditions" that included food soils and grease all over the kitchen, some of it "heavily encrusted" on cooking equipment, no soap or paper towels for workers to wash their hands with and rat droppings behind barrels used for collecting grease. A Boston health inspector yesterday ordered China Bo, 49 Warren St., shut for a variety of violations that included uncooked spring rolls being kept too warm, raw beef being stored in a sink meant only for hand washing, dirty utensils, including knives, rice cookers and cutting boards, rat droppings and at least one live cockroach.
