Where's Will Smith or Charlton Heston when you need them? Police weren't letting people in or out of the Dewey Square bank this afternoon when zombies had a die-in out front.

Eric Coney, managing editor at the Boston Business Journal, gets all Omega Man over the annual zombie lurch.

Outside Macy's in Downtown Crossing, my daughter asked about a woman who seemed to be soaked in blood. On Federal Street, I noticed, my son was looking with great concern at a similarly adorned man.

Oh, wait, you can't, because they're already dead! A Boston zombie march starts around 3 p.m. today in Copley Square.

Brian McFadden notes the two zombie marches planned for the Boston area this weekend and goes a bit ballistic:

... I love zombies too. I just don't have to play dress up and LARP around town to prove my love. Can't you assholes just hang out and talk about Lucio Fulci's ZOMBIE over beers without all the attention-whoring pomp?

There are flyers all over the place promoting an event called Zombie Outbreak 09. This "lurch of zombies" and "zombie hunters" is scheduled for 12:30pm on April 12, 2009. "Mass at Davis Square for a lurch to Harvard Square."

No website or contact info is listed on the flyer.

You just can't stop zombies.

They just keep coming! Look for the photo of the protesters with the "What part of 'Dead' don't you understand?" signs.

Oh, alright, take my brain, already.

Second annual Boston Zombie March - Saturday, May 12, starting at 6:30 p.m. in Davis Square (of course).

I wonder if the Zombie Baby will make a repeat appearance? And shouldn't it be called the Boston Zombie Lurch?

No, we're not talking about commuters coming out of the Davis T stop. It's time for the second annual Zombie March:

We are the undead and we are here to eat brains. Or at least march past your apartment at a painstakingly slow lurch. On Saturday, April 29, dozens of the undead will convene to march, lurch, breakdance and shuffle down Mass. Ave., all in the name of a good time. ...
