A company that claims it has a patent on the idea of linking a number entered in an online box to a specific article has set its sights on Boston University, claiming the school's use of a link shortener is outrageous and deserving of punishment - or a large enough settlement to make the case go away. The Daily Free Press reports the school has suspended its largest frat, Kappa Sigma of Allston, because it had a couple of gatherings after school officials told them not to because of an investigation into potential "sexual misconduct" at its frat house.

Boston University President Robert Brown said today that optimism that all Boston University employees would get vaccinated against the virus proved unwarranted, so the school is now requiring that everybody who gets a BU paycheck either show proof of vaccination by Sept. 2 - or really good proof why they should be exempted for medical or religious reasons. The Daily Free Press reports a group of students are demanding Boston University provide free washing machines and dryers across campus. The school offered to look at helping out students with financial need pay for washing their clothes, but the group says that's not good enough - laundry needs to be free for all.
