A man was shot at Harbor Point Boulevard and Westwind Road in the Harbor Point complex in Dorchester around 9 p.m.

One car had a bullet go through one of its tires.

UMass Boston Police sent out an alert that a man was carjacked at Harbor Point late this afternoon by somebody who had contacted him over SnapChat, allegedly to buy sneakers from him. Read more.

Emmanuel Callwood, 34, was sentenced to 8 to 10 years in state prison today following his conviction on charges he stabbed a man in the lobby of the victim's apartment building,, then took his keys and dragged him up and down a hallway trying the keys to find his apartment, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Big fake gun seized in Dorchester

Boston Police report officers responding to about a man aiming an assault rifle out his window at 20 South Point Dr. Wednesday evening found a guy with a Sage International BB Rifle:

The suspect told the officers he had been firing the gun out of his window for fun. There were no reports of injuries or damage to property. The suspect has not been charged with an offense at this time.

The US Attorney's office reports the arrest of 41 people overnight in a crackdown on the Columbia Point Dawgs, a gang named for the housing project that was torn down in the 1980s to make way for Harbor Point. Seven more people are being sought. Read more.

Boston Police report the Harbor Point Convenience Store, 17 Harbor Point Blvd., was held up around 8:10 p.m. on Sunday:

The suspect walked in to the store and brandished a firearm at the cashier. The witness stated the suspect demanded money be placed in a bag, the cashier complied. The suspect fled the store in a maroon motor vehicle.

The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern male, wearing a fake mustache, black hooded “North Face” sweatshirt, black jeans and white and black sneakers.

Updated Tuesday morning.

A man awoken from a slumber in a car on Oyster Bay Road by security guards around 8 p.m. sped off, plowing into several cars before aiming his vehicle at a guard, who shot him, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

The driver, Leroy Wiggins, a.k.a., Chris Summers, 40, of Dorchester, suffered a non-life-threatening injury and is expected to be arraigned today on charges related to the incident, the DA's office says.

BPDNews reports that that 23-month old boy, Jaziel Ponce of Lawrence, died from blunt trauma at 16 Westwind Rd. in Harbor Point. The Herald has more details.
