Hard to miss the JP Licks on Centre Street, thanks to the giant cow's head.

The owner of the onetime firehouse at 661 Centre St. in Jamaica Plain this week sued her ex-husband, who runs the J.P. Licks ice-cream chain based there, for some $113,000 in back rent from last year. Read more.

Eileen Murphy reports JP Licks is looking to mooove into the space at 397 W. Broadway once occupied by the Cutting Club hair salon.

There's a meeting, put on by the city and the landlord, for neighbors at the space on Feb. 13 at 6 p.m.

Wicked Local Somerville reports that JP Licks is coming out with a line of hemp-based non-dairy ice cream. The press release doesn't say what the chain will call the stuff, but Pot Pie seems too chickeny.

Pam braves all four of JP Licks' new Thai ice-cream flavors, which, yes, include pad thai:

... The ice cream is filled with short noodles, slices of green onion, chunks of peanut, and specks of cilantro. Is that a hint of garlic as well? This ended up being my favorite of the bunch because of how well it pulled off the unique combination of ingredients. I would never order this as a dessert, but for a savory snack, it was pretty tasty. ...
