Live Boston reports a man was shot in the chest at 8 Brinsley St. around 11:15 p.m. on Friday. Neighbors said the man was just sitting on his porch, enjoying the nice night. The homicide unit was called in due to the severity of his injuries.

Aguinaldo Gomes-Soaresrosa, 21, of Dorchester, faces a variety of charges following an incident early Monday in which he responded to a traffic stop by putting his car in reverse and hitting the gas - briefly dragging the police officer who tried to shut off his ignition. Read more.
