According to an interview with the Boston Herald's Matt Stout, Senate President Therese Murray could be running for Governor. According to Stout:

Murray — facing a March 2015 term limit as president — said she won’t decide until February or March whether she’ll seek re-election. But while she was quick to say she will finish her two-year term, she played coy when asked if she’d run for governor, giving a “no comment.”

Deval Patrick came out of a meeting with Therese Murray and Bob DeLeo and said he angrily wagged his gubernatorial finger at them for failing to squeeze enough reform and money out of state transportation agencies. Murray replied:

I'm a little confused. He just gave us a spreadsheet, and we said we'd go and look at it.

You do that, Ms. Murray. See if you can miss the angry red borders around all those cells.

Just ask the Hayhurst family, which can now continue its tradition of sending sons into the Boston Fire Department despite bottom-of-the-class test scores, thanks to some meddling by the state senate president, who, last we checked, doesn't actually live in Boston. Oops, we see Tom Menino and the Boston City Council also worked to get the Hayhursts preferential treatment.

TJIC is none too pleased:
