Possible MBTA map that would include the Indigo Line

Like literally put on the map.

The good news in a Boston Foundation report on the Fairmount Line is that a $200-million state investment in adding and improving stations and service meant a three-fold increase in ridership since 2012.

The bad news is that only means 2,257 riders on a typical weekday, because ridership in 2012 was so low - just 789. Read more.

Charley on the MTA dissects the Boston Foundation report claiming our local teachers make too much and that their pay should be tied to student performance. Also, the Globe needs to stop acting as stenographer to the foundation.

This joint effort between police, clergy, youth, and many others gained national recognition as the Boston Miracle. One controversial part of this success was the lengthy incarceration sentences received by many young people.

A few months ago, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center CEO Paul Levy posted his salary and asked if he was getting paid too much. The Old Mole takes a look at the Form 990 (which all non-profit organizations are required to file) for the Boston Foundation and wonders if its executives get paid too much.
