The recent issues at BLS being reported by the media are indicators of a larger problem within the City of Boston, and it's time for constituents of Boston's legislators and officials to hold those truly responsible accountable for their inaction.

BuzzFeed looks at gentrification in Chinatown through through the lens of two sisters forced out of their apartment.

Meanwhile, a City Council committee holds a hearing at 4 p.m. today on a proposed "just-cause eviction" ordinance that would require landlords to state reasons for evictions - and mediation for large rent increases. The hearing will be in the council's fifth-floor chambers in City Hall.

Somerville, MA, Mar. 25, 2015 – A number of community groups, non-profits, business owners and residents are not happy with the ongoing planning process for the redevelopment of Union Square.

About 12 acres, located on seven blocks of real estate, are slated to be redeveloped by a master developer, chosen by the City last year. Union Square Station Associates, or US2, is a consortium of firms – led by Chicago’s Magellan Development Group LLC and Boston’s Mesirow Financial Holdings Inc. – that formed specifically to undertake the billion-dollar development.

During her evening walk home, Be wondered about the average reading comprehension level of the local yuppie dog owners, as it was quite clear to her that the playground-cum-dog park was expressly forbidden to dogs. She figured this out by actually reading the large signs placed at eye-level on the gate doors of said park.
