The Jewish Journal, which has covered the Jewish communities of greater Boston since 1977, is seeking $150,000 to make up money it expects to lose in coming weeks due to Covid-19-related issues - both the loss of advertising revenue and the need to cancel an annual spring fundraiser. Publisher and Editor Steven Rosenberg said he's managed to make $50,000 in cuts and is applying for emergency SBA loans, but that even with that, the bi-weekly newspaper is suddenly in dire straits.

The Massachusetts Health Council (MHC) announced today a social media video contest for middle and high schoolers on how to stop the spread of COVID-19. This contest allows teens the opportunity to use their creativity and ingenuity while practicing social distancing and self-isolation by using apps like TikTok, Instagram and Youtube. MHC is offering a $500 prize to the winning individuals or teams.

The Globe today posted a fun profile of the South Street Diner. So it pains us a bit here at the nitpick desk to report that the second half of the headline, "I spent the night at South Street Diner, Boston’s only 24/7 sit-down spot," is wrong.

The City that Always Sleeps has two sit-down spots open 24/7 - the other being the IHOP on Soldiers Field Road in Brighton.
